Women Empowerment

The Women Empowerment Project is a multifaceted intervention aimed at addressing the financial and psychological struggles faced by vulnerable groups of women, including widow mothers and young migrant returnees.

Through the provision of soft skill training such as life skills, entrepreneurial skills, and counseling services, these women will be equipped with the tools necessary to achieve self-sufficiency and financial freedom.

Tailoring Skill Training and Women Self Help Groups

Additionally, tailoring skill training will be provided to women under the project, enabling them to engage in Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) and to secure sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.

Challenges Faced by Mothers of Disabled Children

However, the real world of living poses a myriad of challenges for people with disabilities, particularly when it comes to understanding levels within the community. Mothers, who are often the primary caregivers of their disabled children, face enormous challenges, including exhaustion, reduced work hours, and a lack of career opportunities.

AACFSA’s Interventions for Mothers of Disabled Children

Moreover, the absence of support services means that mothers are forced to stay home with their children, with no social life or opportunities to work outside of the home. To address these challenges, the AACFSA has planned to implement the following interventions:

Disability-Inclusive Skill Training for Livelihood

Organizing and providing disability-inclusive soft and hard skill training within our organizational premises, aimed at equipping individuals with the tools necessary to secure sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.

Lobby and Advocacy for an Inclusive Society

Organizing lobby and advocacy sessions within the community to combat issues related to people with disabilities, fostering a more inclusive and supportive society.

Selection Criteria for Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups

In order to ensure that the project targets the most vulnerable and marginalized groups, the following selection criteria have been established:
• Women who are the heads of households with large family sizes.

• Children who are heads of households with limited average incomes.

• Families with members who have disabilities.

• Families with no skills and illiterate backgrounds.

• Communities without a disability-inclusive mentality.

• Total homeless children.

• Internally displaced women, children, and individuals with physical disabilities.

Empowering Vulnerable Members of Our Communities

Overall, the Women Empowerment Project and the interventions planned by the AACFSA are critical steps towards fostering a more equitable and inclusive society, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our communities are supported and empowered to achieve self-sufficiency and financial freedom.

In conclusion, the Women Empowerment Project and the interventions planned by the AACFSA provide valuable support and resources for vulnerable women and mothers of disabled children. By providing access to training, advocacy, and other services, these initiatives are helping to create a more inclusive and supportive society where all members can achieve self-sufficiency and financial freedom.
