Almaz Ashene is Local NGO In ETHIOPIA working closely with vulnerable communities to provide targeted interventions in areas such as education, healthcare, gender equality, livelihood support, and emergency aid, with the aim of addressing their specific needs and promoting long-term development. Our interventions are designed to promote sustainable development and help build resilience in vulnerable communities.
The AACFSA Child Daycare Center provides subsidized daycare services and nutrition support to marginalized and disadvantaged communities, aiming to ensure healthy child development and support mothers’ pursuit of employment opportunities, contributing to poverty reduction and improved living conditions.
The vocational skill Training Center implemented by AACFSA aims to empower women and youth by providing technical, life skills, maternal skills development, and entrepreneurship support training to secure sustainable employment or establish successful businesses.
with the objective of making education accessible to school-going children and families in previously unreached areas. AACFSA Since its inception has positively impacted over 6000 children through its various interventions in education. including school construction in Addis Ababa, Oromia, Amhara regions.
AACFSA’s Homeless Children Rehabilitation Center focuses on providing economic, educational, and social reintegration of displaced street children. This project aims to improve their socio-economic conditions through capacity building and offer them hope for a better future.
Major Achievements
Almaz Ashene has 32 years of experience improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in its intervention areas across three regional states.
The child sponsorship project provided education, health, and psychosocial services to 650 children in order to improve their access to these vital resources.

The Tailoring and Embroidery Skill Training Center proudly commemorated the graduation of its second-year, fourth-round sewing trainees on May 13, 2023.
The program was designed to support AACFSA and equip them with the skills required to defend their trainees against sex assault and exploitation.

Established by the founder late Mrs. ALMAZASHEN in 1991 to support children abandoned by loss of their parents by fire arm explosion happened during the downfall of “Derege” regime. . The founder further expand the NGO in full recognition of the magnitude of the problem of women, children and youths in the country.
